The Beatles are coming! Four boys from Liverpool in Franco's Spain (1964-1975) Written by Magí Crusells, a professor at the University of Barcelona, the book examines the group's stay and concerts in Madrid and Barcelona in 1965, as well as the effects that Franco's censorship had on their discography from 1964 onward, not only on their films, but also on the books written about them until 1975, the year dictator Francisco Franco died.
The author is considered an expert on the Beatles' impact in our country for his various works, carried out with historical rigor: he is the author of the original idea and co-writer, with Pedro Costa, of the program for RTVE The Beatles are coming! (1995); from the book The Beatles. A Musical Filmography (1995), written with Alejandro Iranzo de Riquer; and curator of the exhibition Qè arriben els Beatles! (The Beatles are coming!, 2015), organized by the Badalona City Council and the University of Barcelona.
