Prince's seventh studio album, the second credited to Prince and the Revolution, "Around The World In A Day", was released on April 22, 1985. Such was Prince's prolific output that it came only ten months after the Oscar-winning album "Purple Rain", and just three weeks after the conclusion of the Purple Rain Tour.

Featuring no less than four singles, “Around The World In A Day” saw Prince and the Revolution change musical direction once again, experimenting with psychedelic textures, incorporating new instrumentation and expanding the genres of the album's songs.

To celebrate the album's 40th anniversary, Prince Estate, in collaboration with Warner Records and Legacy Recordings, will release "Around The World In A Day: The Singles" exclusively for RSS Black Friday.

With audio remastered by original mastering engineer Bernie Grundman, and additional mastering by Chris James, the limited-edition 7-inch box set includes all four singles from the album plus an exclusive new 7-inch single of the 1985 song “4 The Tears In Your Eyes,” which Prince originally contributed to the album “We Are The World.”.

Each 7″ comes in a unique vinyl color and is included in its original 7″ sleeve, in a clamshell box, all of them with elements from the LP sleeve “Around The World In A Day”, originally designed by Doug Henders.

Four decades later, Bernie Grundman has remastered “Around The World In A Day” in stereo. The Deluxe Edition of the album, available as a 3LP 140g vinyl record, includes extended versions of sides A and B with the remix of “Paisley Park,” as well as extended versions of “Girl” and “Hello (Fresh Dance Mix),” and the nearly 22-minute 12“ version of ”America.”.

The album eventually produced four commercial singles: “Raspberry Beret” with its spectacular kaleidoscopic video showing Prince in a suit inspired by the clouds and sky on the cover, “Paisley Park” (released only overseas), “Pop Life” and “America”.
